How We Keep Teemli Safe

Safety is not a feature at Teemli — it is the foundation everything else is built on.

From the very first line of code, we designed every system with one question in mind: does this make our users safer? Today we want to pull back the curtain and share how we approach safety on our platform.

AI-powered verification

Before any user can start a single chat, they must complete two steps: sign in with a verified Google account and pass an AI-powered selfie check. Our verification AI analyzes the selfie in real time, detecting gender to ensure only women can access the platform. If a man attempts to join, they are permanently banned on the spot — no second chances, no appeals.

This is how we enforce our women-only policy at scale. Every user is verified before their first chat, and re-verified before every subsequent call. Verification images are processed securely and are never shared with third parties.

One-click reporting

Once inside, users have access to a one-click reporting system. If anything feels off during a video call — inappropriate behavior, offensive language, or someone who should not be on the platform — you can report them instantly with a single tap. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes swift action. If a user is reported three times in a single day, they are permanently banned — no warnings, no exceptions. We take every report seriously.

End-to-end encryption

We do not record or store any video or audio from calls — your conversations are entirely private and encrypted end-to-end via WebRTC. We believe privacy and safety go hand in hand, and we are committed to protecting both.

As Teemli grows, so will our safety infrastructure. We will continue sharing updates on this blog as we build new tools and improve existing ones.
