  • Google profile information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This is used to create and manage your account.
  • Profile data you provide: Display name, country, and bio text that you enter when setting up or editing your profile.
  • Verification images: A selfie taken during the verification process. This image is processed by our AI verification system and is not retained after verification is complete.
  • Usage data: Basic analytics such as pages visited and session duration, collected via Google Analytics to help us improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your Teemli account.
  • Verify your identity to enforce our women-only and safety policies.
  • Match you with other verified users for video chats.
  • Display your profile to other users during matching.
  • Respond to reports, enforce community guidelines, and maintain platform safety.
  • Improve the Platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

3. What We Do Not Store

We never record, store, or have access to your video or audio calls.

All video calls on Teemli use peer-to-peer WebRTC connections that are encrypted end-to-end. Video and audio data flows directly between users and is never routed through or stored on our servers. We also do not store chat message content, as Teemli is a video-first platform without persistent text messaging.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data (profile information, email) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, safety, or fraud prevention purposes. Verification images are processed in real-time and are not stored after the verification decision is made. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the Platform (e.g., Google Cloud for hosting, Google Analytics for usage insights). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process, we may disclose your data to appropriate authorities.
